St Mary’s, throughout its many centuries at the heart of Hitchin, has always been completely dependent on the generous support of its visitors, its townsfolk, and its worshippers.  It receives no support from public funds but nevertheless remains fully committed

  • to public services for all
  • to fostering the wellbeing of the town
  • to welcoming visitors, and
  • to preserving the wonderful heritage of our church building for future generations.

The cost of running St Mary’s is

£500 a day

We therefore warmly invite you to be part of our support network to keep St Mary’s flourishing in the heart of Hitchin, either with a single gift or by regular contributions, in any of the ways described below.
